The Sky Mirror at Park Central is an installation designed by the artist Nayan Kulkarni. This includes an elegant stainless steel sky ramp and viewing platform suspended above a dark reflection pool, where a thin film of water offers a mirror-like reflection of the sky above. We have also designed the facility to send a simple ripple across the pool surface at pre-selected times to visually interrupt the mirror.
The piece is positioned within the main park area of a high quality housing development by Crest Nicholson (Regeneration) Limited, offering the opportunity for public engagement and enjoyment. Our works included the off-site fabrication of a plantroom and holding tank, along with all M&E works, which we executed alongside English Landscapes who were responsible for all hard and soft landscaping work. The sky ramp structure was fabricated and erected by M-Tec of Darwen in Lancashire.
