The Fountain Workshop is growing. We currently manage and service 25 fountain projects across the UK, and that number is increasing every year.
We are therefore looking for two maintenance operatives/engineers to form a new maintenance team. Your team will primarily service our projects in London and the South East, although you may also work further afield on occasion.
Ideally, you would come as a pair, having worked together previously with a proven track record of achieving results and getting along! However, we will also consider individuals with the right talents and qualities.
This is a rewarding position. You will be ensuring that both our clients and the public are able to continue enjoying these beautiful, bespoke water features.
We will provide you with training and guidance, although it is essential that at least one of the two operatives is a qualified electrician (please see below for specific details on this).
While you will be under the direction of our maintenance manager and coordinator, you will be mostly working independently, and so this is a job for people with a ‘can do’ attitude. One afternoon a week will be spent at our workshop in the Historic Dockyard in Chatham, where you will receive instructions and collect spare parts for the following week.
As part of the job, you will be required to provide vital maintenance reports (including water quality control reports and other administration and paperwork/record-keeping), and be able to anticipate and prevent problems. Therefore, an ability to troubleshoot and solve problems is a must.
Your team will be equipped with a van (plus tax, insurance, fuel etc.) and all necessary equipment.
The Fountain Workshop is a dedicated team of designers, artists, and engineers. We have been providing a fresh and innovative approach to fountains and water features for over 20 years. We work across the UK and internationally, and pride ourselves in maintaining a high standard of service and design.
We are looking for team members with whom we can have an honest and open working relationship, and who share our passion for water features and for providing our clients with the very best. If you think you match up to our high standards, then this position may be for you and we would like to hear from you.
Specific electrician requirements:
- Must be able to fault find on electrical installations/systems using various voltages, for example 415/230AC and 12/24VDC
- Must have experience of variable speed drives
- Must be able to fault find using PLC software
- Must be able to read electrical wiring diagrams
- Must be able to carry out electrical repairs and installations along with any planned maintenance
- In addition to the above, it would advantageous if you had experience with electrical testing and inspection.
If you would like to apply for this position, please send a CV and covering letter to email@example.com. You can also contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to arrange a time to talk with one of our staff before you apply.CLICK TO EMAIL
